What a fun photo shoot! As I was struggling for time, we began to apply Tiffany’s Gnome beard outside the studio as we waited for our photographer, Aaron Chung to arrive. It all turned out well as beard applications are such a messy job, it meant we kept it all outside rather than creating fur balls around the clean studio we were shooting in.
I had the honour of being the makeup artist and hair stylist to work with DJBfad, Sugar Creative Photography and Stylist Jenn Chang on a collaborative, promotional photo shoot this February 2010. The makeup and hair was very simply and quick to apply with exagerated contouring to accomodate to the dimmed lighting. The shots will soon be seen on the DJBfad Website once they are launched.
Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist
In late 2009 I volunteered to work with IAM Webs filming with QUBE Films as a makeup and hair artist for the production of alta vision’s Video FAQ. The day was a comfortably early start and everyone was pretty relaxed from the beginning. The makeup and hair application didn’t take long. Just some simple corrective and anti-shine makeup. I was on hand throughout the shoot to powder when the bright lights in the studio made the room heat up. It wasn’t too long before we wrapped and the day was finished. The day was a great experience working on set.
My first music video has now been launched in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics!
This was a volunteer positioned filmed in Richmond, BC, Canada over a one week period. I was the makeup artist & hair stylist for the shooting day based at the Richmond Fire Station. The day was so much fun from start to finish. Matthew David and his co-workers were a pleasure to work with and I was well looked after on the shoot. We all sung along as we recorded the same scenes over and over until we had the shot we needed and moved on to the next set up. The video was recorded for Richmond to welcome all of the athletes involved in the 2010 Winter Olympics and is now launched along with the single. Check out the weblinks provided for coverage!
The shoot took place at Keele University in England, UK over the Christmas period of 2009. The building is absolutely stunning. A great example of classic, english architecture. Our model, Victoria B, is a natural beauty and perfectly fits the surroundingss. I begin the shoot by applying a natural makeup and we shoot around the dusty book shelves. We then change our look to a high fashion, purple smokey eye and a simple up-do to match her classy outfit and shoot around the big, detailed door frames. To finish the day, just as it begins to snow, we dress her in black tied with a stunning, grey fur coat and darken her smokey eye and lip colour. I slick her hair back into a sophistiacted up-do to complete the look and we go outside to finish our shoot before the sun goes down.
