Edward Scissorhands Makeup

What could be more fun on Halloween than being given the task of recreating Edward Scissorhands,  designed and executed by the very talented makeup artist of the film industry, Ve Neill, in 1990.

I used wax to mold the scars that covered many areas of his face. Using cream colours, I whitened the complexion and set the foundation with lots of powder to ensure the makeup would stay on all night without becoming shiny. I finished the look by colouring around the eyes as well as the lips. Pop on a wig, a whole lot of leather and whey hey…we have Edward Scissorhands! This certainly was fun to recreate.

The costume and pulls it all together, giving complete realism to the recreation of Edward Scissorhands.

I can’t wait for Halloween 2012!
