Having cultivated skills in drawing, painting, sculpting and creating throughout her childhood, Amanda moved to Vancouver from Edmonton at the age of nineteen. Building upon foundations in the fine arts gained through school, Amanda excelled in her creative passions.
Amanda graduated from Blanche MacDonald School for Applied Design with a diploma in makeup Artistry in 2004. She had completed several hair styling workshops with notable companies such as Kevyn Murphy and award winning stylist Melanie Tremblay, owner of Mink Makeup and Hair.
She is currently working as a freelance makeup and hair Artist. She worked as a key makeup artist at City on the live program Breakfast Television for over four years and has previously worked at Channel M (Omni), Arch 2 Media, as well as on a variety of locally shot music videos, commercials and web-based projects. Amanda worked for four busy and successful seasons as a senior stylist with Mink Makeup and Hair, an exceptional mobile bridal service, and a great friend of ours!
Amanda is excited to offer natural and organic beauty options to her clients. With the growing awareness of ingredients in products, Amanda hopes to offer clarity and education to her clients, fans and followers.
Amanda is a mobile, Vancouver based artist available for contract work, fashion, head shots, bridal makeup and hair, special occasions, graduation ceremonies and photo shoots and is also happy to provide makeup lessons for those who want to improve their own skills through Faye Smith Makeup & Hair.
