Jessica Chan’s Wedding
Jessica Chan is an organized bride whom had begun contact with me a year in advance to her wedding date; this allowed us to exchange emails of details, have a meet and greet, choose an appropriate time for a consultastion and discuss further details right up until my departure after execution of hair and makeup on the big day…organization down to the finest details.
Jessica were to have me apply makeup on herself, her mother and her husband-to-be. I hired my go-to hair stylist, Caitanna Hoffart, to assist me in styling the hair of the bride and her three bridesmaids.
Jessica were to have a large, formal, traditional wedding with all things extravagant and glamorous. She were to wear two dresses throughout the day; a traditional white gown and later, a traditional red dress for the tea ceremony. We needed to select a hair and makeup design that would suit both looks…
I concentrated on giving Jessica flawless, dewy, healthy looking skin with an airbrush finish blush and a contour under her cheek bones to emphasise her beautiful face shape. I gave her brows a natural fill to shape Jessica’s face and eyes.
Next I applied a light and blended, champagne, gold and brown shadow to Jessica’s eye lids, graduating the colour up, finishing at the brow bone with a white, shimmery highlight. Applying a white shimmer to the inside of Jessica’s eyes gave an angelic, glow and twinkle to her face, creating a dreamy innocent look.
Jessica’s look carried her through to the evening. Her hair was styled in a beautiful up-do with braided detail flowing through the back. I love up-do’s on brides! They are formal and worry-free; there is little chance of an up-do falling out, no worry of curls falling loose…
Congratulations to our newlyweds! It was a pleasure to pamper you both.
