Yes, you read that correctly, the dresses (and the women) are absolutely gorgeous. Surely you’ve been to, or heard of the bridal shower game called “Toilet Paper Wedding Dress”. Now it has become a reality!
Laura Gawne and partner Susan Bain, operators of a website dedicated to saving money on weddings, have been ambitious in turning this bridal shower game into a contest sponsored by Charmin, (who have been a sponsor for the past four years,) and new sponsors, The Sanctuary Hotel and Haven Rooftop.
Contestants were to make a full wedding gown using toilet paper, glue and/or tape and were also allowed to sew. The gowns judged by Kate Pankoke, owner of Elaya Vaughn Bridal, and season 11 and 12 contestant of Project Runway, were judged on creativity, originality, beauty, and of course – the use of toilet paper.
Below, are the winners of this years contest.
Grand Prize Winner is Susan Brennan of Orchard Lake, Michigan, won $10,000 for her creation
Second Prize Winner is Katrina Chalifoux from Knoxville,Tennesee who walked away with $5000.
Third Places went to Amber Mills, of Dallas, Texas who won $2500 for her toilet paper creation.
